Applied Economics and Finance

ChanBoremey Teng

This initiative entails comprehending the consequential impacts of climate change, which give rise to economic challenges and financial intricacies for businesses and individuals on a global scale, attributable to both physical and transition risks.

As an international student from Cambodia majoring in Applied Economics and Finance with a minor in International Business. Within any economic framework, my academic journey comprises of numerical computations, predictions, and policy repercussions. To maintain sustainable development, understand the variations of global concerns on supply and demand, market conditions or trends, and how money varies in the economy from numerous perspectives such as multinational firm perspective and or investment or banking perspective. Bryant University is a place where students learn how to perform business while also promoting sustainability by exposing students to projects that incorporate UN sustainable goals, ESG, and many other sustainable practices as climate change has become a very alert concern. Furthermore, coming from a developing country and conducting research among Bryant communities with these primary backgrounds introduced me to the relevance of climate financing in terms of risk mitigation, international collaboration, adaptation, and, most importantly, poverty alleviation.

As an international student from Spain majoring in Applied Math and Stats with a minor in International Business, my academic journey seamlessly blends numerical precision, global perspectives, and a strong commitment to sustainability. Climate finance, driven by a firsthand awareness of environmental shifts, is a central focus. Leveraging my skills in applied mathematics, I analyze climate data and explore the intricate financial mechanisms steering climate action. Studying international business alongside math and stats equips me to understand and develop sustainable solutions that align economic growth with environmental stewardship. I am eager to contribute an international perspective to the discourse on climate finance, exploring innovative financing models and investigating the role of businesses in sustainable practices. For me, climate finance is not just academic; it's a personal commitment to contribute to a more sustainable and resilient future.
